IDHA to host smoking cessation night in Dublin

by Guy Hiscott

The Irish Dental Hygienists Association (IDHA) will host a free evening on smoking cessation for its members and Dublin Dental Hospital University staff and students on 21 April.

The evening will look at smoking cessation and changing behaviours, with Catherine Waldron focusing on how to change the habits of patients who smoke, and offering advice on behaviour patterns.

Guest speaker Elaine Tilling will discuss the latest research on vaping and e-cigarettes in her talk, ‘To vape or not to vape’.

The 2017 Kin Dental Hygienist of the Year award will also be launched, sponsored by Pamex. Once again, patients will be invited to nominate their dental hygienist whom they believe offers exceptional care.

Nicorette will also be in attendance, offering advice for alternative nicotine therapies.

The evening takes place at Dublin Dental University Hospital. To book your place, email website@idha.ie.
