Sleek new look for public health degree

by Guy Hiscott

Cork University Dental School and Hospital has streamlined its master’s degree in Dental Public Health to make it more accessible.
The course – which now runs over 12 months – has become a resounding success since being introduced last September. Offering ‘multi-disciplinary academic and experiential development’, organisers believe the revamped degree will be even more effective than the original two year, part time course.
Previous graduates have assumed senior positions in dental public health, developed research expertise, led epidemiological programmes and are at the forefront in promoting evidence-based practise.
