Closing date beckons for NI golf competition

by Guy Hiscott

Dentists in Northern Ireland are being urged to sign up for a new golf competition for members of the British Dental Association (BDA) NI branch that launches this month.
The format will be singles match play, based on an initial draw, and proceeding on a knock out basis.
The matches will be played over the spring and summer months, with the final match to be played at the BDA Scientific weekend in September.
Entering is simple – email your name, address, club, handicap and mobile number to dentalgolfmatchplay@gmail.com by 31 May at the latest.
The entry fee is just £5, payable before the first round of play to organiser Mark Lenny.
The competition is kindly sponsored by Dentech, the handpiece care and repair company. The company’s Roy Clarke will present the BDA with a perpetual trophy that members will be able to compete for on an annual basis.
The competition is meant to create a forum for colleagues to meet, compete and socialise with new friends and old acquaintances.
Email dentalgolfmatchplay@gmail.com for a full list of the competition rules.
