X-tra base is a flowable composite, designed especially for the bulk filling technique. This flowable, self-levelling composite enables up to 4mm thick increments to be laid, which can then be light-cured in just 10 seconds (in the Universal shade). After the insertion and polymerisation of x-tra base, the stable restoration base requires only an occlusal covering layer with a methacrylate-based universal or posterior tooth composite. X-tra base is suitable for lining class I and IIcavities, as well as for the first layer of cavity lining.
X-tra base has low shrinkage stress for a reliable adhesive bond, perfect surface affinity for outstanding adaption, and a high radiopacity (350% Al). It is available in Universal and A2 shades. The non-drip NDT syringe or Flow-Caps with bendable metal cannula guarantee accurate application.
