Free water line assessment for Irish dentists

by Guy Hiscott

Practices in Ireland are being offered a free dental unit water assessment by Henry Schein Ireland in conjunction with Dentisan.
The offer comes in light of claims made earlier this year that the death of an elderly Italian woman from Legionnaire’s disease can be traced back to the dental unit water line of her local dentist. The research paper that identified the link was published in The Lancet in February.
Peter Bacon, technical director at Dentisan – a company that supplies a product specifically developed to reduce and prevent biofilm contamination in dental unit water lines – said: ‘This case underpins the duty of care dentists need to demonstrate to patients as well as to the regulatory bodies, to ensure they are minimising risk. This is exactly the reason we offer free, reliable dental unit water assessments to dentists.’
To claim your free water assessment, contact Henry Schein Ireland on +353 (0) 1 4565288, or complete the form at www.dentisan.co.uk.
