Oral health conference draws the crowds

by Guy Hiscott

More than 650 delegates attended the Oral Health Conference and Exhibition (OHC) hosted by the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT) in Bournemouth in November 2011, many praising the packed programme of speakers, workshops and comprehensive trade exhibition.
The OHC is one of the key events of the year for dental hygienists and therapists. Sally Simpson, BSDHT president, praised Julie Rosse, president elect, for putting together such a fantastic programme that appealed to all.
Sally said: ‘We would like to thank everyone who attended our conference and we hope that they gained as much from it as we did. We were also very impressed with the amount of trade stands at this year’s event and would like to say a particular thank you to all the exhibitors for their support.’
The winner of the Dr Gerald Leatherman Award was also revealed as Caroline Clitter, who has shown outstanding commitment to the profession.
