A restoration winner for the Moloney award

by Guy Hiscott

Dr Una Lally is this year’s winner of the Moloney Award, for her presentation entitled A simple technique for restoring anterior teeth immediately following extraction using a vacuum formed retainer.

Dr Lally gave a table presentation at the IDA’s Annual Conference in Cavan on 13 May.

A Dublin Dental University Hospital graduate who is currently working towards a postgraduate award from the same institution, Dr Lally received her award, a Waterford crystal glass trophy, from Dr Patrick Crotty, a trustee of the Dental Health Foundation.

The abstract of the winning presentation can be accessed at www.dentalhealth.ie.

The Moloney Award, sponsored by the Dental Health Foundation, was established in 2003 to recognise the outstanding contribution made by the late Dr Joe Moloney to promoting oral health in Ireland, through his involvement as a founding member of the Dental Health Foundation and his lifetime contribution to the IDA.
