by Guy Hiscott

Dublin Dental Hospital Board has announced the appointment of Ms Pat O’Boyle as chief executive.

Ms O’Boyle will be responsible for leading the hospital in achieving its mission and vision to be the dental institution of choice for education, patient care, research and staff, and to continually enhance and develop the services offered to patients, students and society.

Ms O’Boyle replaces Mr Brian Murray, who retired on 30 April 2011 after 13 years as CEO.
The Board wished Brian an enjoyable retirement and thanked him for his stewardship and notable achievements during his term as CEO.

Ms Emer Daly, chairperson of the Board, remarked: ‘Brian’s contribution to the Dublin Dental University Hospital has been central to making it the institution it is today, and he will be greatly missed. We wish him well in his retirement.

‘The Board welcomes our new CEO, Pat O’Boyle, and looks forward to her bringing her own leadership style and abilities to the role.’
