Northern Ireland dentist shortlisted for awards

Dentist Philip McLorinan and Dunmurry Dental Practice have been shortlisted for the Lisburn Business Young Entrepreneur Award and Business Growth Award.

Lisburn City Council is the main sponsor for the forthcoming Lisburn City Business Awards, which recognise the hard work and dedication of local companies.

The winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 19 April 2011.

Young Entrepreneur Award – shortlisted: Philip McLorinan
This award is open to young entrepreneurs, aged 40 or under, with exceptional drive, vision and dynamism.

They will have a proven record of financial success and commercial innovation within their own business.

The judging panel will be looking for evidence of the following:
• Track record in starting and running a business
• Financial and growth performance
• Personal attributes – innovative and lateral thinking; motivation and dynamism; vision and leadership
• Sustainability and plans for the future.

Business Growth Award – shortlisted: Dunmurry Dental Practice
This award offers applicants the opportunity to get recognition for the growth in their business during the last two years.

The winning organisation will have demonstrated its ability to proactively plan, maximise opportunities and keep on eye to the future.
