Irish dentist receives Smiler of the Year award

On Friday 22 October, Dr John Seward received the inaugural Smiler of the Year award in Rochester, New York, from Dr Ryan Swain, CEO of Six Month Smiles.
Six Month Smiles is an orthodontic system that can result in straight teeth in only six months.
John was attending the advanced level reunion for dentists certified to provide this service and had been invited to speak at the seminar. He presented his lecture on the Saturday morning.
At the awards ceremony, John was presented with the overall award for the degree of complexity in the cases he undertook, the number of cases undertaken since being certified in February 2009 and his mentoring of colleagues through the Six Month Smiles online internet forum.
Despite being overwhelmed and surprised by the award, John was delighted to accept on behalf of his team at 3 Camden Quay, where he practises.
