Household dental fees to amount to

by Guy Hiscott

Figures revealed in the Dáil on 18 May suggest that the average household expenditure on dental treatment for 2010 will be €190.07.

This figure was revealed by Deputy John Curran, Minister of State at the Department of Taoiseach and Defence, in response to a question from Deputy James Reilly to the Taoiseach asking about the amount that each household is spending on dentistry annually.

This data is derived from the latest available Household Budget Survey (2004/2005). The expenditure has been adjusted for inflation using the change in a corresponding sub-index of the Consumer Price Index between October 2005 and April 2010.
