IDA campaigns to ‘Stop the rot’

by Guy Hiscott

The Irish Dental Association (IDA) and its members have begun a campaign to highlight the cuts proposed by An Bord Snip Nua.

The IDA has circulated 1,000 posters entitled ‘Stop the Rot’ for dental practices to put on display to highlight the threat posed to people’s dental health if the DTBS is abolished.

The An Bord Snip Nua report, published last month, stated that the DTBS is ‘no longer affordable’ and its abolishment would save €92 million.

The poster asks dental patients to: ‘Help to stop the rot by contacting your local TD and telling them that you want the dental treatment you have paid for!’.
