Women better at dental duty than men

by Guy Hiscott

A new survey has found that women care more about their smile than their male counterparts.

When it comes to oral hygiene women take it far more seriously than men, making a concentrated daily effort to keep their teeth clean and even putting it ahead of diet or exercise.

Alarmingly, however, 3% of the population never put a toothbrush near their mouths and 6% only brush their teeth ‘when they remember’.

The survey, commissioned for Colgate Oral Health Month, found that over 60% of those surveyed do not always feel they have done their best to keep their mouth healthy.
